The wide world of blogging

February 21, 2009 by Laura

The blog world is amazing. By looking at one blog, you quickly discover another and another…and on it goes. I came across this family in Kansas and their story breaks my heart. The couple had a 10 month old daughter, Cora, who was diagnosed with cancer. Three weeks later, she passed away. There is now a whole project dedicated to the memory of this precious little girl.

Etsy.com is an amazing site where you can sell your homemade goods. They have a group of sellers who are creating and crafting to donate money towards the Cora Project. Cora’s parents didn’t want anything when their daughter died except to build a new playground for their church. What a wonderful gift for the church and awesome memory of their daughter and all who were affected by her! You can check out the goods being sold for the Cora Project here: http://www.etsy.com/search_results.php?search_type=tag_title&search_query=Cora+Paige

Please pray for this family as their daughter just passed away at the beginning of this month. It will be a very long year for them but hopefully one full of love and support from everyone, including those who don’t know them in the wide world of blogging.

It is such a heart breaking story, but it is amazing how people all over the internet can come together and help build a memory.

I’m so glad you found their post. I came across it of Kelly’s blog, which is linked on mine. Their story is so heartbreaking but so inspiring. Isn’t it amazing how so many people know about this from blogging…it’s like a new little (or big I guess) family!
