I think curb appeal is a huge part of owning a home. So many people tend to overlook this and just focus on the inside. Very few people actually see the inside of your home, most drive by and only see the outside! I wish it was mandatory for everyone to take care of and spruce up the outside of his/her home. Then, you would never have ‘those neighbors’ that you really wish would move somewhere else!
Centsational Girl gives some great tips for making small changes that can really help freshen up your outdoor living spaces this summer. They can be small or big – but a change when it is nice outside really helps make you feel better about your home.
A new garage door (besides a new roof) is probably the most expensive yet most effective way to update/freshen-up your home. Obviously a new coat of paint is a very cheap and easy way to make a small change but I have heard of the kits you can purchase at home improvement stores to add some hardware and make your plain garage door get a cheap face-lift! I want to check this out some more but it sounds like a great and easy way to help make a new coat of paint really go the distance.
I love chairs on the front porch! It makes a person feel so warm and welcome to your home. Maybe you aren’t a ‘sit on the front porch’ kind of person (with dogs, we tend to hang out in the backyard) but I can totally picture myself with a Long Island Iced Tea, waiting for friends and family on the front porch in one of these sets of chairs!
