The Skinny on Skinnies

January 20, 2011 by Laura

So right before Christmas I bought my first pair of skinny jeans…or ‘skinnies.’ I know. I am light years behind the trend. I finally have two pairs of tall boots though and I was seriously sick of tucking and rolling my regular jeans. It was time to jump on board and get with the times! Of course now, the trends are predicting that skinny is out and flare is in. Of course…

The perfect top for a pair of skinnies is a beautiful blouse. I also am in desperate need of tops other than a cardi with a sleeveless top. These are just several of the gorgeous selections from your favorite store, and mine…Anthropologie. This bright yellow number? To die for. I love the pattern and love that it has a nipped-in waist that will flatter everyone!

The detail on the sleeves and neckline of this one make it a huge winner in my book! I’m not sure everyone could pull of the color but the details are unbelievable on this blouse.

I love the bright blue!! The rouching and gathering across the body looks so great. I would love this one with a pair of white pants, hanging out at happy hour with a cocktail in hand. Oh wait, sorry I was daydreaming a little bit since it is cold and dreary and nasty and oh yeah, January!

Of course I had to include something with some orange in it! You all did hear that orange is one of the hot colors for home and fashion for 2011? Oh you didn’t? Well now you know! Orange is in, people! Hah!
