Our living room curtains are up and they look great! I love the pattern because its a little funky and modern but it isn’t overwhelming to the space. Here’s a little looksy at where we started…
Holy gaudy and heavy curtains! Those vertical blinds and curtains came down the minute we woke up on our first morning in the house. TERRIBLE. There were several curtain rods, plus a ton of screw holes, and so much dust it was disgusting.
And here they are now! Yay! The curtain rods are from West Elm and the fabric is from Calico Corners. Lighter and brighter – exactly what I wanted! The grey silk on the door is from a local store that was on super clearance for $4/yard.
Here is a close-up of the painted walls and the curtains. The walls are painted Gentle Rain by Behr. I love it now that all of the woodwork is white but before we painted that, we were having serious doubts about this color. Next time we will use the testers before buying the gallons of paint!
Here’s another shot of the curtains now.
This was another before shot I took on closing day that has the curtains in it. Everything was brown and blah.
And now! Light and bright and happy! So excited for how it turned out.
And a final shot of the curtains and how they look now. My mom made three panels out of the fabric and it looks so good! It has made such a difference to have curtains we can close at night. Since there aren’t any leaves on the trees, we can see into our neighbor’s living room and they can see into ours. Love the privacy we have now!
