This basket of cell phones might be my most favorite post ever on Pinterest! Seriously, how many times have you been with friends only to see him/her looking down at his/her phone and not paying attention to the conversation? This is a fantastic idea for your next gathering of friends!
I am totally guilty of doing the same thing – we all get so wrapped up in our own lives and social media plays such a big part in this. Checking Twitter, email, Facebook, Pinterest, Instagram, etc…you forget that you should be enjoying the present and the time with the people who are in front of you and not on your phone!
I made an effort the past week to only check my favorite social media apps three times a day instead of three times an hour and it felt great! (yes, 3x/hour seems excessive but once you’re hooked, that actually isn’t that much. I promise.) It felt weird at first but then it felt good to know I wasn’t chained to making sure my timeline was constantly up to date or I wasn’t missing the latest picture that was uploaded.
This basket o’ phones might be showing up at the next event I host…watch out! 🙂
