Its Started

Well, it’s started. The Christmas season is here and people are already acting crazy-like. We just got finished with Thanksgiving and Conner’s 30th birthday and now…here we go! My saying this year is definitely, “Don’t Get Your Tinsle In a Tangle!” (Don’t worry, I’m repeating it to myself, too.)

I started putting out Christmas decorations last night and hope to be finished by this weekend. This year, I really want to make sure I enjoy the month of December. Usually it flies by and before I know it, New Year’s Eve is here and I’m sad I missed having some relaxation and fun with family and friends! Next week I’ll be back to start showing you different parts of our house, all decorated and gussied up for Christmas. See you then!

Mad For Plaid

Right now, I am mad for plaid! It has been creeping up on me and now with the cooler weather, I am head over heels for this pattern.

Like this plaid button-down from J. Crew. I remember this shirt from several years ago and its back again! I’m convinced plaid is forever.

And this shirtdress from Gap…it would look so cute with leggings and boots!

But mostly, I’m mad for plaid for Christmas. I love this picture I saw on Pinterest! It was taken for HGTV’s Christmas and is so chic with the combination of traditional plaid and modern black/white. I am definitely using this as my inspiration for our 2012 Christmas home!
